BBQ Classes


The BBQ Pro BBQ Classes are a real passion for us. As BBQ enthusiasts and professionals, we can’t help talking and teaching about low and slow barbeque (not to be confused with grilling.) We provide great recipes, great BBQ advice and some great eats!

We’re excited about sharing our barbeque expertise and about our “backyard” space in Fair Oaks Village.
All classes are conducted on our Big Green EGGS (we’re partial), but you don’t need to own one to enjoy our classes. The skills we show you are applicable to any barbecue.

Please Note:, You need to enroll online (or pay in-store) in order to be assured a place in the class. The in-store class list is only an “I’m Interested” list. We have a first enrolled, first come policy.

BBQ Chicken Class at The BBQ Pro Sunday, May 26th. 4:30 pm

Chicken on the Big Green Egg was our very first class and still is the one class you need to attend to learn all there is to know about using your EGG to the fullest. We designed this class to demonstrate direct grilled chicken, low and slow smoked chicken, braised chicken and baked chicken. All are different techniques that you can apply to other meats and will really help you understand the full range of options you have when thinking through a recipe. Chicken of course is a comfortable food to play with while we are learning but don’t think for a second you already know how to cook chicken. Have you scored a perfect score in a major competition? Have you won the Chicken category numerous times? I didn’t think so. I have and I want to share all my secrets to making some incredible meals. We will grill some boneless, skinless breasts and make them moist. We will make some easy wings with dynamite taste. We will do my favorite simple dinner, the whole chicken and lastly, I will show you how to make my Championship Chicken Thighs. Even if you never enter a competition, it’s impressive to cook these for friends and watch their jaw drop. As always, there will be sides and dessert and a good time will be had by all.
